Ex-Google engineer + ex-Cambridge ESOL examiner. Two backgrounds that don't usually meet, then somehow did.

Three Cambridge-trained linguists own the speaking rubric and every word of feedback Angie delivers. They review 1% of all grading output every week to make sure the AI hasn't drifted.

WHY 'ANGIE'
There's a real person behind the mascot.
Angie is named after Angeline, born in London in 2014, twelve years old at our launch. She's our north star — the kind of warm, cheeky, never-judgemental coach the world's English learners deserve. She doesn't exist as an app feature; she exists as a standard.
